Honey, Cheese, and Wine…OH MY!

Have you heard the buzz? The Cellar Winery, in collaboration with Sisters in Cheese and The Holton Homestead, is bringing you an evening of unforgettable flavors. Only cheese mongers, beekeepers, and winemakers would dream up this delicious event! We will pair delicate honey flavors from all over the nation with exceptional cheeses, both local and from other regions, and wines made from grapes grown 100% on our estate vineyards right here in Boone County, Iowa.

Why attend? Because pairing cheese and honey with wine creates a truly decadent and enjoyable tasting experience. Come and see for yourself! You’ll be delighted by the variety of honey harvested when bees forage at different times and regions, and how the sweet and savory elements come together. Sisters in Cheese will provide delectable cheeses and treats on a bamboo board, complete with a cheese spreader. The Cellar will showcase wines that aren’t available for retail, showing off how they complement the evening’s showcase of treats.

Event Highlights:

· 6:00 PM: Start with a preselected glass of wine from our cellar and enjoy a social time as guests arrive.

· 6:30 PM: Settle in for a presentation in classroom-style seating, making it easy to experience the delicacies you’re about to enjoy. Discover how each pairing is unique and why they were chosen. Share your personal experiences if you’re willing!

· 8:00 - 8:30 PM: Depending on the conversation and the amount of fun we’re all having; we’ll wrap up the event.
